Free Diver

Job Overview

Yalelo seeks a dedicated Free Diver to work below the water surface, conducting inspections, repairs, removal, and installation of equipment in aquatic environments. This is a full-time position based in Butembe-Buikwe, Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, check, and repair nets and cages in the water
• Check and maintain diving equipment before diving operations
• Inspect underwater pipelines
• Participate in installation of nets underwater
• Inspect, clean, and repair pumps and valves underwater
• Collect mortalities
• Adhere to water health and safety guidelines at all times
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Line Manager

Required Technical Skills & Training

• Diploma in Fisheries and Management Technologies
• Professional diving certification (mandatory)
• Swimming and Rescue skills
