## Title: Human Resource Assistant

Position Overview

Position: Human Resource Assistant

Reports to: Human Resource Manager

Duty Station: Industrial Area - Lira

Number of Positions: 1

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • HR Administration - Maintain employee records, prepare HR documents, and support filing and recordkeeping
  • Recruitment Assistance - Support the recruitment process by posting job adverts, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
  • Onboarding - Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
  • Leave and Attendance Management - Ensure implementation of annual leave plans in liaison with the field teams
  • Employee Relations - Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Employee Engagement and Welfare - Support HR events and staff welfare activities
  • Payroll Support - Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Reporting - Generate reports on HR activities and metrics to support decision-making within the department

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field from a recognized university
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar HR support role
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
