## Title: Receptionist

Job Overview

As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere at Elephant Lodge. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to manage the check-in/check-out process, handle reservations, and provide information about the lodge and surrounding attractions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in process
  • Efficiently process guest check-ins and check-outs, handling payments and billing accurately
  • Manage booking inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person
  • Provide information about lodge facilities, local attractions (including Lake Babati), and safari activities
  • Act as a central communication hub, relaying messages to guests and staff promptly
  • Maintain accurate guest records, handle mail and messages, and assist with basic administrative tasks

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk agent, or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in using reservation systems (e.g., PMS) and MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • A positive attitude and a passion for helping people
  • Fluency in English and Swahili required
  • Must be eligible to work in Tanzania
