About the Role
This entry-level position offers a great opportunity for career growth. You will serve as a liaison to the local church and assist in strengthening local ownership, capacity, and resources of local church partners to minister to children and youth in their own context.
Under the guidance of your supervisor or more experienced facilitators, you will be responsible for nurturing relationships with church partners that are characterized by mutual respect, trust, and service that builds up church ministry. You will learn to facilitate partner relationships through the Partner Management core process, working to improve achievement of church outcomes and bringing a developmental mindset to all aspects of the partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and serves as a consistent witness for Jesus Christ in all interactions
- Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer
- Acts as an advocate to raise awareness of the needs of children and understands Christ's mandate to protect children
- Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks, and activities across the ministry
- Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct
- Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children through Compassion's internal reporting channels
- Facilitates church partnerships for assigned locations generally under the guidance of supervisor or more experienced facilitator
