Group Business Director

Role Summary

The Group Business Director leads growth in key industries, manages client relationships, and supports the Group CEO and Group COO in driving the business. This role encompasses sector leadership, business development, and commercial management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead growth initiatives in key industries
• Manage strategic client relationships
• Support Group CEO and Group COO in driving business strategy
• Provide sector leadership and strategic direction
• Drive business development and growth opportunities
• Manage commercial operations and financial performance
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across the Group

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 countries business experience in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, or other sub-Saharan countries
• At least 7 years of senior experience in business development or sector leadership
• Strong networks within at least two of the following sectors:
  • Telecom and Banking
  • FMCG and Retail
  • Sports, Media and Gaming
  • Government
  • NGOs and Donors
  • Energy and Mining
  • SMEs, Startups and Investors
• Proven ability to grow revenue and manage key accounts
