Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and passionate intern to join our team at the Nyarugusu Refugee Camp. The intern will support activities related to gender and nutrition, working alongside experienced professionals to implement programs that empower the community and improve gender and nutritional outcomes. The position is based in Makere, Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing gender and nutrition-focused activities within Nyarugusu Camp
- Facilitate community sessions on nutrition, diet diversity, and gender equality, including extension support visits to project participants
- Conduct community outreach and engagement to promote awareness, participation, and inclusive access to project services
- Support gender and nutrition mainstreaming across all project activities, ensuring meaningful representation of women, youth, and vulnerable groups
- Assist in data collection, monitoring, and assessments, ensuring accurate sex and age-disaggregated data for reporting and learning
- Support the preparation of project reports, documentation, case studies, and learning materials
- Assist in developing and adapting Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) materials, training tools, and job aids
- Document field activities and contribute to project documentation
