Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will drive Loan and Advances, Deposit and alternative product growth at the branch. This role involves managing all sales activities, supporting, monitoring and training of Branch Sales Officers across respective branches.

Key Responsibilities

Business Soliciting – Acquisition & Recruitment

• Acquire and recruit new customers
• Visit existing customers frequently to maintain relationships
• Ensure all customer acquisition points are functioning optimally
• Enhance customer experience through proper execution of: account opening, account maintenance, loan onboarding, digital onboarding, digital activation and usage
• Identify sectors and areas relevant for business growth within the locality
• Identify, solicit, conduct KYC and risks review of potential customers, and approach them to open accounts
• Work with Business Development Partner to develop relevant products for the particular locality
• Provide consistent feedback to Head of Customer Network on product and service performance at respective branches
• Engage with Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and Business Banking (BB) departments to identify retail opportunities from their clients (One Bank Concept)
• Address customer queries relating to business matters

Deposit Mobilization

• Proactively understand business dynamics in the locality and capitalize on opportunities to grow deposits
• Supervise all deposit mobilization activities
