Outlet Assistant

About the Role

Yalelo Uganda is hiring an Outlet Assistant responsible for actively participating in the Outlet's operations. You will contribute to all aspects of daily operations, from stock receipt and inventory management to customer service and sales growth initiatives.

The purpose of this role is to ensure precision, quality, and efficiency at the Outlet, contributing to overall sales targets and customer service while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in overall Outlet performance by regularly developing initiatives to drive sales growth and actively engaging in sales growth activities
• Deliver excellent customer service across all aspects of the Outlet, including store appearance, fish display, stock ordering, SKU layout, and selling
• Follow up on customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately, ensuring satisfactory solutions for both customers and Yalelo
• Receive stock supplies and organize and maintain inventory by ensuring fridges are always stocked to meet customer needs
• Perform regular quality assurance checks of fish and ensure proper handling, storage, processing, and packing
• Enforce the use of proper icing techniques throughout the process to maintain fish freshness
• Act as chief custodian and enforcer of Yalelo Uganda red stock SOP in the Outlet
• Develop and maintain knowledge of fish products, including new offers, and share that knowledge confidently with customers and colleagues
• Take and prepare customer orders, including packing and entering transactions into the POS
• Assist the Supervisor with banking sales revenues
