Boiler Making Maintenance Worker – Welder

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for making spare parts, maintaining welding tools and equipment in good condition, ensuring the safety of all workers, and promoting effective housekeeping practices in the workplace.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld components
• Install welded equipment
• Maintain and repair vessel tanks
• Repair and upkeep existing metal structures and machinery
• Read blueprints and technical drawings
• Use oxy-fuel cutting torches
• Perform Arc (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG welding
• Mark layouts and sketches
• Develop metal structures
• Attend to job cards issued by supervisors
• Clean and maintain working premises
• Ensure safety for all workers
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Form IV certificate
• Vocational training in welding trade test grade/level 2 from a recognized institution
• 3+ years' working experience in a busy environment
• Expertise in various welding techniques
• Mentally and physically fit
