Job Purpose

Partner with the factory operations team to drive operational excellence across factory operations and build a shared sense of goals and purpose throughout the production function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and scheduling of all reactive and preventative maintenance work for seasonal maintenance initiatives to achieve optimal cost efficiency, asset availability, longevity, and performance
• Develop maintenance job plans and prepare them for scheduling and execution during the season
• Develop and maintain long-term and short-term maintenance schedules in conjunction with operations during season and off-crop periods
• Ensure achievement of overall company objectives through application of Codes of Practice, SABS ISO 9002, and NOSA standards
• Support implementation of the "Illovo Way of Maintenance" (iAMP) to establish Illovo as a best-in-class sugar and downstream producer
• Monitor and manage maintenance requests and resource availability
• Maximize effectiveness of available budget to promote equipment reliability, performance, and longevity
• Provide data and reporting to relevant stakeholders to improve decision-making
• Promote cross-functional and stakeholder engagement, teamwork, and collaboration
