Medical Specialist II (Obstetrics & Gynecology)

About the Position

Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) is seeking a Medical Specialist II in Obstetrics & Gynecology to join our healthcare team. This is a full-time position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine specialized medical services for inpatients and outpatients
• Supervise ward rounds and advise on appropriate medication
• Participate in the training of student doctors in your area of specialization
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate medical services in your field
• Prepare periodic reports regarding your area of specialization
• Conduct research in your area of specialization and publish results for peer review
• Supervise junior medical doctors and provide technical guidance
• Plan and supervise outreach programs in your area
• Perform other related duties as assigned by your supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Master of Medicine Degree (M.Med) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD or equivalent)
• Registration with the Medical Council of Tanganyika
