Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Strategis Insurance Tanzania as Head of Operations – Medical. This is a key senior management position reporting to the CEO of the Medical Division, responsible for overseeing all medical insurance operations, procedures, and budget management while ensuring agreed performance targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire operations of the Medical Division
• Lead negotiations with healthcare providers, including ambulance service providers and health education and promotion providers, to secure favorable pricing and contract terms
• Identify and build relationships with healthcare providers in East Africa, Asia, and Southern Africa to ensure customers receive affordable and seamless services for foreign treatment referrals
• Ensure professional accreditation of healthcare providers in accordance with company guidelines to protect the company's interests in claims management
• Identify business opportunities in the market and negotiate deals to develop products and services that increase market share and profitable growth
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication, fostering a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and customer focus
• Establish and maintain policies that align with company culture and vision
• Ensure retention of existing insured portfolio through thorough customer management and servicing
