Position Overview
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the functioning of the bank's business operations and management, reporting directly to the Managing Director/Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the functioning of the bank's business operations and management
- Maintain overall charge of various departments including Credit Department, Risk and Compliance, Human Resources, and Bank Branches
- Annually revise and update bank policies for Board/Regulator approval as required
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Analyze various risk scenarios and prepare agendas for the Board and Board Committees
- Serve as Convener of the EXCO Committee
- Maintain regular liaison with statutory authorities on banking business matters, including TRA, other local banks, BOT, and corporate customers
- Ensure compliance with BOT regulations and guidelines along with bank policies
- Manage relationships with bank vendors
- Generate and canvass business for the bank
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and/or Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Business Administration and Management, or Risk and Compliance
- Good understanding and experience in bank credit and lending portfolio management
- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and mitigation
- Excellent strategic and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) professional
