Electrical Technician

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL) as an Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, and calibrating all electrical equipment, electronic and electro-pneumatic instruments and devices, including switchgear, to required standards and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical equipment, MCCs, electronic control, communication, and computerised devices
• Ensure that electrical equipment and instrumentation are in good working condition
• Carry out allocated electronic and electro-pneumatic calibration and/or repairing tasks
• Communicate and inform colleagues and Line Management on the functioning of electrical equipment
• Carry out planned maintenance on electrical equipment including troubleshooting and servicing
• Report on the status of electrical spares and requirements
• Install and commission instrumentation and electrical projects
• Install and/or assist in installing mechanical and control instrumentation equipment and pumps
• Ensure all processes are executed in accordance with local good practices for safety, health, environment, and quality, including proper use of personal protective equipment
• Perform maintenance effectively to ensure equipment availability
• Execute all operations in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System standards at Kilombero Sugar
• Perform all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar's Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment policies and procedures
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your work
