Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and diagnose electrical issues on a variety of mining machines (SANDVIK, CAT, NORMET)
• Perform routine inspections and fault finding on mobile equipment
• Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, using required PPE, and reporting incidents/accidents
• Perform task risk assessments (JHA, FLRA)
• Coordinate activities within the unit and report to supervisor
• Ensure mobile equipment is maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner
• Demonstrate commitment to safe work practices by example and act immediately on any unsafe acts or situations
• Contribute to developing training programs for the national workforce and carry out competency assessments
• Ensure full compliance with all Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Policies, and other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines
