Key Account Senior Consultant –  Inbound Tourism/Destination Management

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Key Account Senior Consultant to join our leading Inbound Tour Operator specializing in Southern Africa. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career while managing key client relationships and leisure groups production.

About the Role

As a Senior Key Account Consultant, your main responsibility is to retain top customers and nurture those key relationships over time. You will be based at our offices in the CPT Southern Suburbs, working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Leisure Groups Production for 3-4 Star accommodation
• Develop trust relationships with clients and acquire thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
• Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
• Provide quoting and costings for inbound groups and group series from Europe and USA for Southern Africa (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique)
• Negotiate with suppliers and liaise with long-established clients
• Liaise with groups consultants who handle operations and logistics
• Provide solutions based on customer needs

Requirements and Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Key Account Manager at an Inbound Tour Operator/DMC (Senior level)
• Proven experience in quoting and costings for inbound groups and group series from Europe and USA for Southern Africa
• Essential product knowledge of the region
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels
• Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and negotiation experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• TOURPLAN and WETU experience is a plus
