Position Overview
A dynamic healthcare team is expanding and seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife to join our Maternity/NNICU ward. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive, quality nursing care to all patients. You will report to the Maternity/NNICU Ward Unit Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform weekend duties as scheduled
- Provide a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Utilize supplies and equipment in an economical and efficient manner
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate records at all times
- Serve on relevant departmental committees as required
- Supervise and evaluate the quality of patient care through regular patient rounds
- Assist with the coaching and mentoring of junior staff within the unit
Minimum Requirements
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Diploma in Midwifery or Advanced Midwifery
- 3–5 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse/Midwife in a Maternity/NNICU ward within a private healthcare facility
- Proficiency with computer systems
