About the Role

A reputable FMCG company situated in Mount Edgecombe, Durban is seeking a dedicated Junior Debtors Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong personality, excellent telephone manner, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer account queries and resolve issues
• Manage debt collection activities
• Send weekly and monthly statements to customers
• Call customers regarding late payments and overdue accounts
• Communicate with customers via email and telephone
• Ensure customer payments are allocated correctly on the system
• Follow up on outstanding payments
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms
• Submit debtors reports to the Admin Supervisor
• Coordinate weekly debtors meetings with the sales team
• Prepare customer reconciliations

Requirements & Qualifications

• Pastel experience required
• Knowledge of working with debtors
