## Title: Area Manager – Apparel Retail

About the Role

An established apparel retail brand is seeking an experienced Area Manager to join their team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for strategically driving results across your region to ensure each store achieves maximum sales, productivity, and profit goals. This role requires effective leadership, communication, world-class service delivery, talent management, merchandising excellence, and operational compliance. You will motivate teams and create a vibrant, energetic store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically drive sales, productivity, and profit goals across assigned stores
  • Lead and manage store teams to achieve performance targets
  • Ensure merchandising excellence and visual standards across the region
  • Maintain operational compliance and implement company strategy and procedures at store level
  • Foster a vibrant, energetic store environment and motivate teams
  • Monitor and react to market trends in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Regional or Area Manager, preferably in the fashion, apparel, or footwear retail environment
  • Proven sales track record and demonstrated sales focus
  • Experience as a Brand Manager or in a similar environment (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to manage a functional team effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
