Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated MEAL Officer to join our team in Senegal. This role is critical to ensuring that our programs are effectively monitored, evaluated, and accountable to all stakeholders.
Key Outcomes
Development and Implementation of MEAL Systems
- Develop a MEAL plan for projects
- Develop and use standard MEAL tools (indicator tracking matrix, etc.)
- Establish feedback and complaint mechanisms for beneficiaries
- Implement technology solutions for data collection
Data Quality and Reporting
- Conduct regular collection of data and evidence on results, beneficiaries, and indicators
- Produce regular reports (monthly, annual)
- Ensure harmonization of monitoring and evaluation practices across teams
Capacity Building and Learning
- Provide technical support to program teams and partners for MEAL tool utilization
- Deliver training to staff and partners on MEAL tools and methodologies
- Promote a learning culture within teams
Accountability and Inclusion
- Ensure accountability to beneficiaries, partners, and donors
- Integrate gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches into programs
- Promote child and community participation
Core Responsibilities
- Implement monitoring and evaluation systems, processes, and tools aligned with organizational and donor requirements
- Establish and design M&E systems across all projects, including feedback mechanisms
- Coordinate all M&E activities through data collection and reporting across all Human Appeal projects
- Maintain strong relationships with partners and institutions
