About Human Appeal
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs, and championing advocacy for beneficiaries worldwide. Human Appeal has seven International Field Offices across the globe.
Position Overview
We are seeking a MEAL Officer to join our team in Senegal. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) initiatives across our programs and projects.
Key Outcomes
Development and Implementation of MEAL Systems
- Develop MEAL plans for projects
- Develop and use standard MEAL tools (indicator tracking matrix, etc.)
- Establish feedback and complaint mechanisms for beneficiaries
- Implement technology solutions for data collection
Data Quality and Reporting
- Conduct regular collection of data and evidence on results, beneficiaries, and indicators
- Produce regular reports (monthly, annual)
- Ensure harmonization of monitoring and evaluation practices across teams
Capacity Building and Learning
- Provide technical support to program teams and partners for the use of MEAL tools
- Conduct training for staff and partners on MEAL tools and methodologies
- Promote a learning culture within teams
Accountability and Inclusion
- Ensure accountability to beneficiaries, partners, and donors
- Integrate gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches into programs
- Promote child and community participation
- Maintain good relationships with partners and institutions
Core Responsibilities
- Implement monitoring and evaluation systems, processes, and tools aligned with organizational and donor requirements
- Establish and design M&E systems across all projects, including feedback mechanisms
- Coordinate all M&E activities (through data collection and reporting) across all Human Appeal projects
