Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated MEAL Officer to join our team in Dakar, Senegal. This role is critical to ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning across all our programs and projects.

Key Outcomes

Development and Implementation of MEAL Systems

• Develop MEAL plans for projects
• Develop and use standard MEAL tools (indicator tracking matrix, etc.)
• Establish feedback and complaint mechanisms for beneficiaries
• Implement technology solutions for data collection

Data Quality and Reporting

• Collect data and evidence regularly on results, beneficiaries, and indicators
• Produce regular reports (monthly, annual)
• Ensure harmonization of monitoring and evaluation practices across teams

Capacity Building and Learning

• Provide technical support to program teams and partners for MEAL tool usage
• Train staff and partners on MEAL tools and methodologies
• Promote a learning culture within teams

Accountability and Inclusion

• Ensure accountability to beneficiaries, partners, and donors
• Integrate gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches into programs
• Promote child and community participation
• Maintain strong relationships with partners and institutions

Core Responsibilities

• Implement monitoring and evaluation systems, processes, and tools aligned with organizational and donor requirements
• Establish and design M&E systems across all projects, including feedback mechanisms
• Coordinate all M&E activities through data collection and reporting across all Human Appeal projects
• Develop performance monitoring frameworks and tools
