Our technology helps institutions automate onboarding, identity verification, and credit decisioning — reducing time from hours to seconds while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

We are currently live with multiple financial institutions in Africa and expanding rapidly into new regions including the U.S., U.K., and Asia.

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and scaling of Nixacom's AI systems — including our KYC engine, loan decision-making models, and upcoming products in fraud detection, income verification, and customer analytics.

The ideal candidate is technical, resourceful, and entrepreneurial, capable of taking ownership of our AI infrastructure, improving its performance, reducing operational costs, and driving innovation across our entire ecosystem.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will directly shape the future of AI automation in financial services across developing economies.

Key Responsibilities

AI Development & Optimization

• Lead the development and continual improvement of our KYC verification system (OCR, facial recognition, document parsing, biometric matching)
• Build, optimize, and maintain the loan decision-making engine, integrating rule-based and AI-driven models for credit scoring and risk evaluation
• Develop new models for fraud detection, income verification, and document authenticity
• Explore opportunities for low-code / no-code deployment to speed up onboarding for new financial institutions

System Integration & Architecture

• Integrate AI systems with databases and external APIs (national ID registries, credit bureaus, payroll APIs)
