Embassy of Ireland I Senegal recruits 01 Development Programme Manager

About the Position

The Embassy of Ireland to Senegal is seeking a suitably qualified professional to fill a full-time Development Programme Manager position on an initial two-year contract.

Role Overview

This is a senior position based at Embassy Dakar. The Development Programme Manager will support the management, oversight, and implementation of the Embassy's development cooperation portfolio covering development cooperation programmes in Senegal and the region, including the Central Sahel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the effective implementation of the Embassy's development cooperation portfolio
• Oversee programmes with focus on climate, food systems and agriculture, gender, youth, and governance
• Provide technical support regarding Ireland's development and humanitarian partnerships in the region, including the Central Sahel
• Support the development and implementation of a new mission strategy
• Report to the Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Cooperation

Required Qualifications

• Suitable professional qualifications and experience in development cooperation management
• Demonstrated expertise in managing development programmes
• Experience in technical support for international partnerships
