Position Overview
The Institut Pasteur de Dakar is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Epidemiology and Data Science team (EDS). Working under the supervision of the head of the Data Analysis team, you will contribute to strategic research initiatives in epidemiological modelling and data science.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement statistical and mathematical modelling analyses to support the CLEAR-AFRICA project
- Develop context-specific epidemiological–economic models and analytical tools for epidemic preparedness and response
- Analyze health and economic data from project studies
- Contribute to the development and application of epidemiological and economic models
- Support capacity-building activities and contribute to policy-relevant communications
- Coordinate and animate scientific work at the consortium level
- Contribute to interdisciplinary public health research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Foster collaborations with CLEAR-AFRICA partner institutions across Africa
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R and/or Python for statistical modelling and data analysis
- Expertise in data visualization tools and methods to communicate findings effectively
