ISONGA SACCO KICUKIRO is a District Savings and Credit Cooperative (D-SACCO) established following the consolidation of 10 U-SACCOs operating within Kicukiro District, in accordance with the Government of Rwanda SACCO consolidation framework.

Job Summary

The Teller is responsible for providing efficient, accurate, and courteous financial services to members and clients. The role involves handling cash transactions, processing deposits and withdrawals, assisting members with account inquiries, promoting SACCO products and services, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision and guidance of the Branch Operations Officer/Outlet responsible:

• Complete assigned work diligently and on time while producing quality results
• Comply with instructions from the employer or their representative
• Welcome and assist members with deposits, withdrawals, and related service inquiries
• Receive cash deposits and process withdrawals, counting and verifying cash before and after transactions
• Complete member booklets correctly and detect counterfeit currency
• Handle cash requisitions
• Manage tills, including discharge and closing procedures with supervisor at end of day
• Participate in member and non-member mobilization activities
• Verify member identification before transactions and report suspicious transactions to supervisors
• Provide all documents supporting daily operations
• Accept accountability for all errors in daily operations, including fund shortages or surpluses
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor or superior that do not conflict with laws and regulations
