Logistics Officer 

About the Role

LuNa Smelter Ltd, Rwanda's established tin smelter based in Kigali, is seeking an experienced Logistics Officer to join our Supply Chain team. As part of our optimization and localization plans, we are recruiting professionals to fully optimize production capacity and meet the country's growing demand in the mining sector and the region.

Position Details

• Reporting to: Supply Chain Specialist
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or transportation
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations, inventory management, and transportation processes
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); experience with ERP or logistics systems is an advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation of goods for both local and international shipments
• Ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods
• Prepare shipping and delivery documentation
• Maintain logistics documentation including delivery notes, invoices, DMCs, and reports
• Coordinate with transport and clearing companies
• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Track shipments and resolve delays or delivery issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Maintain accurate records and prepare periodic logistics reports
• Support procurement and supply chain operations
