Position Summary

AHF Rwanda is seeking a competent Driver to be based in Rwamagana district. The Driver will provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for staff, visitors, and materials in support of organizational operations. This role includes maintaining assigned vehicles in good condition, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations, supporting basic logistical activities, and representing the organization in a professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the mechanical and technical condition of assigned vehicles
• Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks
• Report vehicle damage, problems, and wear to the Administrative Assistant
• Resolve basic mechanical problems immediately
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained
• Maintain updated travel logbooks in all vehicles
• Coordinate with approved workshops and garages; monitor quality of Service A, B, and C maintenance according to AHF-Rwanda guidelines
• Inform the Administrative Assistant of service requirements
• Ensure availability of spare parts and lubricants for minor repairs
• Maintain fuel tank levels at 2/3 full; for vehicles with dual tanks, keep at least one tank full
• Record fuel quantity and kilometers in the vehicle logbook at each refueling
• Check fuel levels before and after refueling
• Manage administrative maintenance documentation including vehicle registration and insurance
