Position Overview

Job Title: Welder

Grade: B3

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Boilermaker Team Leader

Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Number of Positions: 2

Job Brief

A Welder is responsible for fabricating all required steelwork as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut and weld steel and bolting pieces
• Ensure all tools are in good working condition
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and Company policies
• Maintain a safe work environment through proper cleaning of work areas and tools
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to promote workplace safety
• Complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain consistent attendance
• Remain vigilant in this high-risk work environment
• Report any work issues to your supervisor
• Comply with Company work and leave schedules
• Comply with all Company Policies and Procedures
• Perform any other duties related to your field of work as assigned by your supervisor

Job Requirements

• Minimum Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Certificate III in welding or a related field
• Knowledge in welding
• At least 2 years of experience as a welder
• Strong team player
• Willing to work overtime or shifts when necessary
