About Horticulture in Reality Corporation Limited (HoReCo)

Horticulture in Reality Corporation Limited (HoReCo) is a youth-led agribusiness company established by professionals and alumni of the Agro-Studies Program, which is part of a bilateral agricultural training agreement between Rwanda and Israel. HoReCo comprises 93 shareholders with diverse expertise across agriculture including horticulture, crop production, agronomy, agribusiness, agricultural mechanization, soil and water management, irrigation and drainage, and animal production.

Mission

To be the best partner for farmers and agricultural stakeholders by achieving operational excellence, transforming subsistence agriculture into modern agro-business enterprises through sustainable crop production and modern irrigation technology integration.

Objectives

HoReCo's primary objective is to improve Rwanda's food security by applying modern farming practices, research innovations, and technology to agriculture, generating sustainable long-term income.

Specific areas of intervention include:

• Growing and trialing various crops across different regions of the country
• Delivering extension services on crop production and value chain traceability
• Delivering extension services on irrigation scheme operation, maintenance, and management
• Providing and facilitating agricultural support services
