Climate Just Communities (CJC) Project

The Climate Just Communities (CJC) is a Scottish Government-funded project implemented through TRÓCAIRE under the Climate Justice Fund. DUHAMIC-ADRI implements this project in consortium with other partners in Gisagara, Karongi, and Ngororero Districts.

The project focuses on implementing effective climate justice interventions that prioritize community voice and needs, with special attention to marginalized communities, women, and people with disabilities.

Purpose of the Tender

Procurement and distribution of iron sheets and roofing nails aim to restore safe and dignified shelters for disaster-affected households in Gisagara District.

Specific Objectives

• Support disaster-affected households with essential roofing materials (iron sheets and nails)
• Enable rapid rehabilitation of damaged houses and reduce exposure to climate-related risks
• Strengthen household resilience and contribute to climate-just recovery efforts in Gisagara District
