Climate Just Community (CJC) Project

The Climate Just Communities project is funded by the Scottish Government through TRÓCAIRE under the Climate Justice Fund. DUHAMIC-ADRI implements this project in consortium with other partners across Gisagara, Karongi, and Ngororero Districts. The project focuses on implementing effective climate justice interventions that prioritize community voice and needs, with emphasis on marginalized communities, women, and people with disabilities.

Purpose of Tender

This tender seeks to procure and distribute iron sheets and roofing nails to restore safe and dignified shelters for disaster-affected households in Gisagara District.

Specific Objectives

• Support disaster-affected households with essential roofing materials (iron sheets and nails)
• Enable rapid rehabilitation of damaged houses and reduce exposure to climate-related risks
• Strengthen household resilience and contribute to climate-just recovery efforts in Gisagara District

• Improved housing conditions for disaster-affected families
