Sustainable Growers is a non-governmental organization (NGO) specializing in innovative coffee cultivation training techniques for smallholder women coffee farmers. The organization aims to increase farmer visibility in the coffee supply chain. With support from Bloomberg Philanthropies and commitment from the governments of Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania, Sustainable Growers has positively impacted nearly 80,000 women farmers, creating a secondary impact on 320,000 family members.

Project Overview

Sustainable Growers Rwanda works with women smallholder coffee farmers across 25 cooperatives, organized into approximately 1,037 teams in Rwanda and Tanzania. Throughout the year, farmers receive seasonal training sessions delivered by Relationship Coffee Women based on the coffee cultivation calendar.

Scope of Work

SGR equips cooperatives, Relationship Coffee Women groups, and farmer teams with training materials necessary for delivering training sessions and enabling farmers to adopt best agricultural practices. The requested inputs are exclusively intended to support the delivery of training sessions on best agricultural practices among women coffee farmers.

Important Requirements

• All requested inputs must be supplied immediately to enable concurrent delivery of multiple activities
• Samples of each item must be approved by Sustainable Growers Rwanda before contract award
• Technical specifications and unit measurements are provided in the Terms of Reference to guide the procurement process and ensure quality delivery
