Department: Metallurgy

Reports To: Metallurgist Mine

Job Summary

The Plant Supervisor ensures that all minerals delivered to the plant are upgraded safely according to company standards. You will be responsible for accurately recording and reporting all weights and mineral stock balances, as well as supervising the mixing and packing of minerals for export purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Weigh and record minerals received at the plant before treatment
• Weigh and record minerals received at the plant after treatment
• Ensure correct weights and stock balances are accurately recorded and reported
• Collect daily samples from minerals delivered by sub-contractors and other parties
• Supervise plant operators to ensure compliance with procedures
• Provide training to operators where necessary
• Ensure all personnel working in or entering the plant adhere to safety standards and wear appropriate PPE
• Verify that all equipment is in good working order and report breakdowns to the relevant department
• Ensure all tools and PPE required for tasks are available and maintained in good condition
• Assist relevant parties with the mixing and preparation of minerals for export
