## Title: MEAL Officer

Organization Background

AVSI Rwanda is a local non-profit organization carrying out development cooperation projects in Rwanda. Created from the international AVSI Foundation, it began operations in Rwanda in 1994, following the Genocide against Tutsi. Vision

AVSI Rwanda believes in a world where each person, aware of their value and dignity, is the protagonist of their own integral development and that of their community.

Mission

To build a society that is more dignified, more inclusive, more just, and more respectful of the choices and needs of children and their families. The organization works to build safer communities through strong partnerships in which parents, communities, and schools are fully involved in ensuring children's development and well-being.

Approach

AVSI Rwanda builds on extensive experience gained through its presence in Rwanda, strong relationships with various stakeholders, and physical ground presence. The organization uses a community-based approach called PACOME (partnerships between Parents/Families, Community, and Schools). Programs employ a holistic approach with interventions organized around parents, caregivers, and community volunteers.
