Logistics and Procurement Officer

About the Role

Medequip Ltd is seeking a qualified and motivated Logistics and Procurement Officer to support the efficient management of logistics operations and procurement activities within the company. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely delivery, proper importation, and cost-effective procurement of medical equipment and related supplies.

Logistics Management Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation, distribution, and delivery of medical equipment to clients and partner institutions
• Manage the importation process, including documentation and liaison with relevant authorities for customs clearance of specialized medical devices
• Monitor shipments and ensure timely and safe delivery of equipment
• Ensure compliance with healthcare logistics standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols related to the handling and transportation of medical equipment
• Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation for all shipments and deliveries

Procurement Management Responsibilities

• Identify and engage with reliable suppliers and vendors of medical equipment, spare parts, and medical consumables
• Prepare tender documents, requests for quotations (RFQs), and procurement documentation
• Evaluate supplier quotations and proposals to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to obtain competitive terms and value for money
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply and service quality
• Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely processing of supplier payments
