Rwanda Interlink Transport Company (RITCO Ltd) is a public-private entity providing sustainable solutions to public transport for both rural and urban populations.

Position Overview

We are seeking interested, qualified, committed, and competent candidates for the position of Bus Driver. Successful applicants will be admitted into our Driver Reserve Pool, a merit-based talent database from which deployment will be made as operational needs arise.

Selection Process

The recruitment process comprises the following stages:

• Oral interview
• Practical driving assessment
• Admission into the Driver Reserve Pool upon meeting required standards

Training

Reserve Pool drivers will receive a 20-day refresher training provided at no cost. This training is designed to standardize safety, service quality, and fleet handling practices while enhancing professional market readiness.

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in all training provided under the Driver Reserve Pool
• Operate a bus safely and efficiently to transport passengers and luggage to various destinations
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and fuel level of the vehicle
• Ensure efficient use of the bus
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report mechanical issues to RITCO Garage
• Adhere to all traffic laws
• Adhere to all employer rules and regulations

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience as a bus driver
• Valid driving license category D1
• Aged between 21–45 years old
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to read and write at least one official language used in Rwanda
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High sense of responsibility and good customer care
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test from RFI
