Climate Just Communities Project

The Climate Just Communities (CJC) is a Scottish Government-funded project implemented through TRÓCAIRE under the Climate Justice Fund. DUHAMIC-ADRI implements this project in consortium with partner organizations in Gisagara, Karongi, and Ngororero Districts. The project focuses on climate justice interventions that prioritize community voice and needs, with emphasis on supporting marginalized communities, women, and people with disabilities.

Tender Purpose

This tender seeks the procurement and distribution of vegetable seeds to improve household nutrition, strengthen livelihoods, and stabilize soil through establishment of climate-resilient vegetables on retrofitted houses and around terraces in Gisagara District.

Specific Objectives

• Enhance household access to nutritious vegetables through kitchen gardens around retrofitted houses
• Reduce soil erosion and improve stability of terraces through vegetative cover
• Improve household nutrition and food security
