About the Assignment
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Rwanda Country Office invites qualified national individual consultants to submit proposals for the development of a comprehensive concept note as a funding proposal to scale up modern anaerobic digestion (biogas) technology in Rwanda.
Objectives
The assignment aims to support Rwanda's climate mitigation efforts and clean energy priorities by:
- Analyzing methane reduction potential from livestock manure
- Assessing sustainable financing mechanisms and business models
- Preparing a high-quality, bankable concept note to mobilize climate finance
- Identifying opportunities aligned with climate funding institutions and carbon markets
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical analysis of anaerobic digestion technology and its application in Rwanda
- Perform financial feasibility assessments
- Engage in stakeholder consultation and analysis
- Develop a bankable concept note targeting climate funding institutions and carbon market opportunities
