About HoReCo

Horticulture in Reality Corporation Limited (HoReCo) is a youth-led agribusiness company founded by Agro-Studies Program Alumni who completed eleven months of practical training in Israel. The company was established through a bilateral agricultural training agreement between the governments of Rwanda and Israel.

HoReCo comprises 93 shareholders with diverse backgrounds in agriculture, including horticulture, crop production, agronomy, agribusiness, agricultural mechanization, soil and water management, soil sciences, irrigation and drainage, and animal production.

To be the best partner for farmers and agricultural stakeholders by achieving operational excellence and transforming subsistence agriculture into modern agro-business enterprises through integrated sustainable crop production and modern irrigation technology.

Our Objectives

The overall objective of HoReCo is to improve Rwanda's food security by applying modern farming practices, innovations, and research and technology, resulting in tangible long-term income growth.

Specific areas of intervention include:

• Growing and trialing various crops across different regions of the country
• Delivering extension services on crop production and value chain traceability
• Delivering extension services on the operation, maintenance, and management of irrigation schemes
