About the Role

Kivu Choice is seeking a Marine Mechanical Engineer to lead and optimize maintenance operations across the value chain. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities at Kivu Choice, including fish farming production and distribution operations in Rwanda. Reporting to the Director of Farming, the Marine Mechanical Engineer ensures the reliability and performance of critical assets, including the vehicle fleet, boats, and cold chain equipment.

This role is essential to minimizing downtime and supporting smooth operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of specialized technicians including Fleet Mechanic (trucks and other vehicles), Outboards Technician (boat fleet), Cold Chain Technician, and Fish Processing Technician
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance plans
• Manage maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory
• Ensure all work complies with safety and operational standards
• Oversee maintenance activities across farming production and distribution operations
