Job Brief

The Fleet Officer is responsible for managing the Company's fleet and leading a team of drivers to efficiently execute transport duties using light vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain the Company's Fleet Policy, Procedures, and Processes
• Create work schedules and transportation routes for drivers to transport Company staff, materials, and spare parts to their destinations
• Deploy and assign drivers to transportation routes and schedules
• Manage efficient fuel consumption by each vehicle
• Monitor drivers and heavy machine operators to ensure adherence to assigned routes and schedules
• Ensure vehicles and machines receive regular maintenance and order urgent repairs and spare parts as needed
• Ensure drivers and operators comply with proper driving practices, standards, and maintain appropriate driving licenses
• Ensure drivers and operators follow Mining, Health, and Safety procedures to meet required performance standards
• Manage vehicle acquisition, legislation, and licensing efficiently
• Ensure the Fleet Team receives up-to-date training for efficient and safe driving standards
• Ensure the Fleet Team adheres to the Company's work and leave schedule agreements
• Maintain vehicles and machines in good, clean conditions
• Devise and deploy cost-efficient solutions for the transport section
• Develop the Fleet Budget and submit drafts to the appropriate supervisor
