## Title: Associate – Infectious Diseases and Pandemic Preparedness

The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low- and middle-income countries, while strengthening the capabilities of governments and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems.

Position Overview

CHAI Rwanda seeks a highly motivated, action-oriented individual with outstanding credentials to provide critical analytical and strategic support to the Infectious Diseases and Pandemic Preparedness and Response program. The successful candidate will have strong laboratory system analytical ability and exceptional communication skills.

Program Overview

The Infectious Diseases and Pandemic Preparedness and Response cluster oversees all activities related to infectious disease prevention and treatment, as well as pandemic and climate-related initiatives to strengthen Rwanda's surveillance system.

Core program activities include:

  • Strengthen diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, with the goal of elimination where possible
  • Support the national surveillance program with innovative technologies to promote early warning detection, outbreak prediction, prevention, and management
  • Support the climate and health program at the Ministry of Health level and integrate related systems to allow data triangulation to inform decision-making
