- This role requires an intermediate individual who is skilled in web development and also want to be capable of providing technical support and assistance to end-users. The dual-function staff member will be trained to play a crucial role in building and maintaining web applications and ensuring that users have the necessary support when facing technical issues..
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications, websites, and related systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for web development projects.
- Write clean and efficient code using programming languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, PHP, Python, RestAPI, NodeJS, MySQL, etc is an added advantage).
- Ensure web applications are responsive, user-friendly, and secure.
- Test and debug web applications to identify and resolve issues.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web development.
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist users with password resets, account setup, and access issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to higher-level support if necessary.
- Educate end-users on software and system usage.
- Maintain documentation of common issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Participate in on-call support as needed to address urgent technical issues.
- Monitor and maintain web servers, databases, and other infrastructure related to web applications.
- Implement security updates, patches, and backups to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize web application performance.
- Communicate effectively with end-users, explaining technical concepts in non-technical language.
- Conduct training sessions or create user guides to empower end-users to resolve common issues independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Science / Engineering, or IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in web development technologies and programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
