Waiter / Waitress at Villa Park Hotels and Suites

Position Summary

We are seeking dynamic and professional Waiters and Waitresses to join our expanding team at Villa Park Hotels and Suites in Lagos. You will deliver exceptional service to our guests by serving food and beverages, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
• Set tables according to type of event and service standards
• Answer questions on menu selections and communicate with the kitchen regarding menu inquiries, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Record transactions in the POS system at the time of order
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, and other equipment throughout the day
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights
• Present accurate checks to guests and process payment
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate service needs
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation
• Maintain uniform and personal appearance to professional standards

• Clear and professional communication skills
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
• Physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire work shifts
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print
• Ability to support team efforts to achieve common goals
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
