Vice Principal (Academic) at TAAS College

Position Overview

TAAS Group of Schools seeks a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced Vice Principal (Academic) to provide strong leadership in academic planning, curriculum delivery, teaching quality, and student performance.

The Vice Principal (Academic) will work closely with the Principal to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning, foster academic excellence, and uphold the school's vision of holistic education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership by overseeing curriculum planning, teaching methodologies, and instructional standards across all classes
• Supervise and mentor teachers to ensure effective lesson delivery and classroom management
• Monitor students' academic progress, organize assessments, and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting
• Coordinate staff development programs, workshops, and training sessions for continuous professional growth
• Support the Principal in academic administration, policy implementation, and decision-making
• Ensure compliance with educational regulations, curriculum standards, and school policies
• Lead academic committees, meetings, and initiatives aimed at improving student performance
• Foster a culture of discipline, innovation, and academic excellence among staff and students
• Build positive relationships with parents and stakeholders regarding students' academic progress
• Assist in managing timetables, examinations, and co-curricular academic activities

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (Master's Degree in Education is an added advantage)
• 5–10 years of proven teaching and administrative experience in a reputable school
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Must be resident in Ibadan and live close to Apata region for accessibility and quick response
