Job Summary

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and CIT. The role involves ensuring compliance with FIRS and LIRS requirements, managing tax audits, maintaining accurate tax records, and providing management with strategic advice on tax planning and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT, CIT)
• Ensure compliance with FIRS and LIRS regulations
• Manage tax audits and audit procedures
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records
• Advise management on tax planning strategies and compliance requirements

Requirements

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in tax accounting (preferably in manufacturing or FMCG sectors)
• Sound knowledge of Nigerian tax laws
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ICAN, ACCA, or CITN professional qualification
