Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and organized Store Keeper to manage our construction site inventory. The Store Keeper will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment, ensuring that supplies are available for ongoing projects. A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join us.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity against purchase orders
• Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular inventory audits
• Organize and store materials safely and accessibly

Documentation

• Prepare and maintain inventory records, delivery logs, and reports
• Document all material receipts and disbursements
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the timely procurement of materials

Material Distribution

• Issue materials to workers and subcontractors as requested, ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Monitor and control material usage on site to minimize wastage

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure that the storage area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
• Implement safety protocols for material handling and storage

Collaboration

• Work closely with the project management team to understand material needs and delivery schedules
• Assist in planning and forecasting inventory requirements for upcoming phases of the project

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus
• Previous experience as a storekeeper or in inventory management, preferably in a construction environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to identify various building materials, such as plumbing supplies, electrical components, cables, and similar items
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work comfortably in various weather conditions on a construction site
