About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a State Technical Officer. In this position, you will manage, coordinate, and supervise all TB program activities within your assigned state, providing critical technical and managerial support to partner organizations.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and supervise all TB program activities in the assigned state
- Provide managerial and technical support to assigned Faith-based Organisations (FBOs), Private-for-profit health facilities (PFPHFs), Patent Medicine Vendors (PMVs), Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs), and other health service providers for TB/HIV services delivery
- Supervise treatment provision by health workers in supported facilities and ensure compliance with National guidelines
- Maintain active collaboration with national, state, and local government authorities, non-governmental organizations, and voluntary agencies working in TB/HIV programs
- Organize periodic reviews and evaluations of partner facilities' performance
- Identify community-based structures to drive demand and expand TB/HIV services into hard-to-reach areas
- Participate in and facilitate local FBO/PFPHF participation in all TB/HIV forums at local and state levels, providing updates as required
- Ensure integration of local FBOs into state and local government-level TB/HIV program and reporting networks
- Deploy job aids and TB resources to healthcare workers in facilities and community settings
- Develop and submit project reports to the Program Advisor in a timely manner and maintain high quality standards
- Conduct supportive supervisory visits to TB and HIV service providers in both facility and community settings, and prepare and submit reports
- Work closely with State TB/HIV Liaison Service officers and support state TB/HIV Partners' forum to coordinate support and implementation of key interventions
- Assist in coordinating the program portfolio to ensure key performance indicators are met and project impact aligns with strategy
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project lead
