## Title: State Manager

Job Purpose

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to drive business growth and sales performance. As State Manager, you will implement the sales strategy within the state environment to ensure that state acquisition and repayment targets are achieved.

You will manage and lead the territory team towards achieving sales, inventory management, and repayment goals within the state. You will ensure people management and capability development of the team, and oversee the end-to-end sales cycle from initial contact through installation and app usage.

As State Manager, you are responsible for driving the timely delivery of business targets whilst ensuring that team members understand their specific role in delivering bottom-line results. You will drive growth aspirations by offering clean, affordable solar power to potential customers in Nigeria who live within and off the electricity grid areas.

Key Accountabilities

  • Increase sales revenue by coordinating state sales activities and ensuring synergy with other activities within and outside the department; contribute to developing and executing the state business plan
  • Implement sales goals and communicate them to Territory Managers and LCP (Last-mile Community Partners)
  • Prepare sales reports and submit them to VP Community Business
  • Follow up sales figures against set sales targets on a daily and monthly basis; provide recommendations for necessary actions
  • Conduct state sales promotion activities within the assigned budget
  • Review sales operations in the state to ensure operational objectives are accomplished, identify trends, provide input into sales forecasting, and ensure optimum service levels are achieved and maintained
  • Attend sales team meetings on a periodic basis to communicate product strategies, upcoming objectives, and exchange ideas on how to support partners in achieving their targets and promoting products
  • Ensure prompt payment from customers and take necessary actions to minimize bad debts
